Rooted in Tasmania, We Ponder works closely with local ceramicist Ian Clare described by many as a magician with clay. Together, they honour an ancient tradition of shaping earth into functional beauty, a practice that stretches back over 20,000 years. Their work rejects the idea that lighting should be predictable or trend-driven, instead creating objects of character, artistry, and enduring value.
