Ancient Egyptian sculptors and artisans chose to work with alabaster for its soft, translucent qualities. In designing the Volterra Linear LED Pendant, sculptor & Designer Paul Marr Hilliard selected it for the same reason. Its translucence is on display, lit by our LED light-guide, with a wash of up and down light to stunning effect. Each piece of alabaster is unique with natural variations in color and texture.
