Dusk dimming is packed with benefits. It works similarly to the halogen downlights of days gone by. As the light is dimmed, not only is the intensity reduced, but the colour temperature also, with particular influence in spaces for entertaining and coming together, or relaxing and unwinding.
Dusk-dimming technology helps with our internal body clock, giving us the right amount of white light throughout the day. 3000K, at full brightness is the setting for morning, early afternoon, or immediately after work. It can then be dimmed to 2700K-2500K helping boost melatonin production in the early evening and into the night eventually preparing us for sleep at 2200K-1800K.
