Beam Stick Nuance Balloton Edition is the new OLEV mouth-blown glass lamp, handmade using the special “balloton” technique.
What makes it unique is the glass sphere’s particular three-dimensional effect, obtained by placing the incandescent glass inside a metal mold with small pyramid-shaped tips.
Each glass sphere is molded by the master glassmakers who keep the ancient Venetian art alive, giving life to a one-of-a-kind, Italian-Made object with great artistic value.
The hollow sphere contains a dual light source that allows a gentle glow to softly filter from the inside, enhancing the glass’s fine nuances, and at the same time projects an unfiltered light beam downwards.
This technique creates a raised criss-cross pattern on the glass, which looks almost like a soft matelassé fabric.
